# Ocean.io - How do I link my account?

# Overview

To authenticate with Ocean.io, you will need:

1. **API Token** - Your Ocean.io API token for authentication.

This guide will walk you through generating your **API Token** within the Ocean.io dashboard.

### Prerequisites:

* You must have an Ocean.io account with API access.

### Instructions:

#### Step 1: Generate your API token

1. Log in to your Ocean.io account.
2. Navigate to the [API tokens](https://app.ocean.io/settings/api-tokens) page.
3. Click **+ New token**, enter a name, and submit the form to generate a new token.

4. Store it in a safe place, it won't be shown again.

#### Step 2: Enter credentials in the Connect UI

1. Open the form where you need to authenticate with Ocean.io.
2. Enter your **API Token** in the respective field.
3. Submit the form, and you should be successfully authenticated.
